Long Distance (poem)

We are like news reporters

Constantly relaying our lives to each other

Trying to fit everything into a single broadcast

We wait like hungry dogs, ready to devour today’s meal

Unsatisfied by the liquid and scraps we are given,

We wait for the day our meals will be full, and eaten together
